The Working Group of Medical Ethics Committees in the Federal Republic of Germany e.V. is an association of 49 ethics committees. The AKEK promotes the ethical integrity and scientific quality of medical research. The protection of test subjects is at the centre of our activities, as is the preservation of free, progressive science in medicine.
